Louvre Windows and a Feeling of Space
SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA
This fun-loving, retro home was once a modest 60’s bungalow overlooking the harbour in Sydney’s Five Dock. Husband and Wife Team, Anne and Michael Potter decided to take the plunge and demolish the family home and rebuild something that would cater to the whole family.
Their modern version of a retro home incorporates Breezway Altair Louvre Windows to provide a comfortable environment and unobstructed views for the whole family to enjoy.
Anne Potter is an interior designer by trade so was actively involved in creating this unique home alongside Architectural firm Utz Sanby Architects. The open plan design creates a comforting sense of spaciousness with hints of Mondrian inspired colour to bring it to life.
Architect and Director Kristin Utz, from Utz Sanby Architects states that Altair Louvres were used “for assisting in cross ventilation and allowing hot air to escape at a high level.”
